RNA and DNA Isolation
Success of microarray output depends upon the quality of RNA. Our standardized RNA isolation protocol meets the quality required for microarray analysis (available on request). We are expert in isolating high quality RNA and DNA from
- Blood
- Lesions
- Formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissue samples
- All kinds of cultures (bacteria, parasites and fungi)
Quality Control by Bioanalyzer Analysis
It is highly recommended to assess RNA and DNA quality prior to microarray analysis with Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer. This helps to take decision whether one should go for microarray experiments or not. Range of Bioanalyzer results that meet microarray quality is: RIN: 8-10; 260/ 280: 1.8-2.0; 260/ 230: 2.0-2.2.
Here are Some General Guidelines
- RNA should be suspended in nuclease free water with absolutely no SDS or any other detergent in the solution (avoid using DEPC treated water). The amount of RNA needed for experiment is 10
per array. - For minimum starting material linear amplification method is used.
- For aCGH analysis, please prepare high quality genomic DNA (free from PCR inhibitors) suspended in nuclease free water.
- For quality analysis of RNA and DNA please submit additional 1
of sample at about 200
/
diluted in nuclease free water.
Sample requirements per array: Please read Customer Information Package for details.
